Applications

Sodium gluconate is widely used in construction, textile dyeing and printing, metal surface treatment and water treatment as a chelating agent. It is also used as a steel metal cleaning agent, a cleaning agent for glass bottles, as a chelating agent for alumina dyeing in electroplating industry, a concrete retarder, a highly efficient water reducer, etc.

1. as water reducer and concrete retarder.

It is of strong water reducing, plasticizing, retarding effects, which greatly improve the workability of the

concrete, reduce slump loss, improve later strength of the concrete.  It acts as a retarding agent to extend the initial setting from hours to a few days without impact on strength.  It has a wide range of application, such as pumping concrete, high fluidity concrete, mass concrete, high strength concrete, etc. 

2. as water stabilizer for excellent performance in anti corrosion and scale proof

(1) It has obvious coordinating effects, suitable for all kinds of formulas of molybdenum, phosphorus, tungsten, nitrite and etc.

(2) Anti-corrosion efficiency increases with the increase of temperature.

(3）good anti-scaling property, excellent complexing capacity with magnesium, calcium and iron salt
